Generating property formatted training set data for artificial intelligence (AI) applications is an extremely tedious and time consuming process. In order to circumvent the enormous costs of training against actual data, many researchers build their own training data sets using synthetic data. However, given that the AI algorithm will be expected to perform against real world data, training data sets composed of real world data are preferred.

Weiland Innovations has developed a solution that overcomes the limitations in the current method of creating properly formatted AI training set data by utilizing both distributed hardware and software nodes to automate the building of training set data or verifying an AI algorithm has properly formatted the data set.

Dr. Kelley Weiland has worked hand in hand with some of the nation's best cardiovascular doctors at Wake Forest University. Her dissertation focused on quantifying complex flow fields in the heart. To this end, she developed algorithms to dissect color M-mode echocardiograms into a quantitative, clinically relevant tool.
