Kelley Weiland, Ph.D.
Dr. Kelley Weiland is the CEO at Weiland Innovations LLC and specializes in unique and inventive solutions to mechanical and biomedical engineering challenges. Dr. Weiland has over a decade of research experience focused on biofluid dynamics, signal processing, and advanced data analysis. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Weiland’s primary basic research interests have included vortex ring dynamics and three dimensional flow separation. Her M.S. and Ph.D. work consisted of applying fluid dynamics and advanced signal processing algorithms to cardiac flows, and as such she led a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical Engineers, Biomedical Engineers, and Medical Doctors in research using clinical data.
Dr. Weiland has experience developing novel automated computer algorithms for data analysis and experience analyzing clinical patient data. She has utilized statistical (Bayesian, changepoint, regression analysis, etc.) methods for rigorous experimental data analysis. Dr. Weiland has hands on experience with design, instrumentation, laboratory testing, and in-vitro design and testing.

After completing a post doc at the George Washington University, Dr. Kelley Weiland served as the lead data analysis engineer for testing at the Potomac River Test Range for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division. Within this role, Dr. Weiland selected and developed advanced instrumentation sensors for specific testing applications and to meet requirements. Dr. Weiland's focus was the advancement of instrumentation and analysis capabilities at the Potomac River Test Range. These advancements included real-time sensor fusion for experimental ballistics analysis, real-time integrated analysis and display of multiple high-speed measurement types, development of timing and triggering systems for down range instrumentation, and high-speed image processing analysis and methodologies. Measurement applications included interior and exterior ballistics, pressure, acceleration, strain, temperature, high speed video.

Mr. John Weiland
John Weiland, a former U.S. Army Special Forces Senior Medical Sergeant, has significant experience with combat operations, battlefield trauma, and medicine. After his military service, John graduated from the University of Virginia and then received his law degree, with honors, from the University of Richmond. John has founded two successful and currently operating law firms, one where he serves as managing partner and trial attorney. In addition to his practice of law, he also recently created and oversees another highly automated company with profit margins exceeding 90%. John’s role with Weiland Innovations LLC ranges from product development as a subject matter expert in medical and weapons applications, to his primary position as Director of Sales, focusing on business development and client acquisition.
